Quartz

Quartz

Quartz is an easily obtained mineral that is described to be the most powerful healing and energy amplifier.

The word quartz is a borrowing from German as quarz. This was borrowed into Early Modern English around 1676 CE. German is different than Germanic as it is a much more modern language. Germanic predated modern languages and shares many similarities among many Northern European languages.

This crystal can be sourced in most places of the world. It can be used for healing and spirit work. Beyond the typical clear quartz, there are several varieties and combined crystals. The color variants include blue, green, tangerine and rainbow. There is also titanium quartz that is quartz with titanium deposits. All types or quartz are recommended for healing, but clear quartz is also used as a catch-all crystal. You can use a clear quartz crystal in place of most crystals in rituals or spells. Quartz can also be lab made with the same properties as natural quartz.

Be wary of aura quartz- often this is either an unnaturally dyed quartz or not quartz at all. Sometimes it is just glass.
